Ingredient Disclosure Solution for California Cleaning Product Right To Know Act

By: Joe McCarthy, Lab Service Manager/Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist, email

There are less than 20 days until the January 1st, 2020 deadline for website ingredient disclosure under the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act.

Requirements for website disclosure include:

  1. A list of each intentionally added ingredient in the product along with CAS number, the function of the ingredient, and whether the ingredient is included in any of the 23 Designated Lists.
  2. A list of all non-functional ingredients present at ≥ 100 ppm along with CAS number and whether the non- functional ingredient is included in any of the 23 Designated Lists.
  3. A list of all fragrance ingredients included in any of the 23 Designated Lists or present at amounts ≥ than 100 ppm.
  4. Links to the Designated Lists that any of the ingredients appear on.

Dell Tech Laboratories has created an Excel® based search tool that will allow you to quickly and easily search all your CAS numbers against all of the Designated Lists. Create your product’s label and website disclosure in minutes instead of hours.

Watch the video below for a demonstration of how the Dell Tech Ingredient Disclosure Search Tool works:

So how are you finding and searching the 23 Designated Lists for each of the ingredients in your products?

How long is that taking you and will you be ready for January 1. 2020?
